Urologist

Tacoma, WA

We are seeking a fellowship trained Urologist for an opportunity at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. We are a 374 bed, level II trauma medical center, located near downtown Tacoma.  Since the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia established St. Joseph Hospital (now Medical Center) in Tacoma in 1891, we’ve focused on providing the best possible health care for people in the communities we serve. Applicants should be interested in a wide variety of urology-oncology and general urology cases.  Our ideal candidate will be a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist interested in bladder, kidney, prostate and testicular cancers. We will offer leading edge, diagnostics, and surgical expertise along with less-invasive treatment alternatives (where appropriate) for urologic cancers. Our new Urologist should be interested in performing robotic and open procedures to treat urologic cancers, using a multidisciplinary team approach with integrated expertise by medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiologists and pathologists, and other cancer experts are supported by an integrated team. We utilize both progressive open surgical techniques, state-of-the-art laparoscopic procedures and robotic-assisted surgery for surgical oncology and/or reconstruction related to renal, urethral, and bladder disorders.

Qualifications


  • BE/BC; American Board of Urology (ABU)
  • Da Vinci robotic surgical experience
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice.
